Fable The Fish and the Frog

The Fish and the Frog

Once upon a time, there was a fish who lived in a pond. He was lonely and bored, for he had no friends to play with. He spent his days swimming around the pond, looking for something interesting to do.

One day, he saw a frog sitting on a lily pad. The frog looked happy and cheerful, and the fish felt curious. He swam closer to the frog and said, “Hello, who are you?”

The frog turned his head and saw the fish. He smiled and said, “Hello, I am a frog. And you are a fish, I suppose.”

“Yes, I am a fish,” the fish said. “What are you doing here?”

“I live here,” the frog said. “This is my home. I like to sit on this lily pad and enjoy the sun.”

The fish was amazed. He had never seen such a creature before. He said, “You are very different from me. You have legs and arms, and you can jump and hop. I have fins and scales, and I can only swim.”

The frog nodded. He said, “Yes, we are very different. But that does not mean we cannot be friends. Do you want to be my friend?”

The fish was delighted. He said, “Yes, I would love to be your friend. You seem very nice and fun.”

The frog said, “Then come with me. I will show you around the pond. There are many things to see and do here.”

The fish agreed. He followed the frog as he jumped from one lily pad to another. The frog showed him the flowers and the insects, the birds and the bees, the turtles and the snails. The fish was fascinated by everything he saw. He learned many new things from the frog.

They also played games together. The frog taught the fish how to catch flies with his tongue, and the fish taught the frog how to dive under water. They laughed and joked with each other.

They became the best of friends.

As time passed, their friendship grew stronger. They spent every day together, sharing their thoughts and feelings. They cared for each other and helped each other.

They also fell in love.

They did not care that they were different. They only cared that they were happy.

One day, they decided to get married. They invited all their friends from the pond to celebrate with them. They exchanged vows of love and loyalty on the lily pad.

They kissed each other and said, “I love you.”

They lived happily ever after.
